When Life Feels Like Too Much: A Coach’s Perspective on Burnout & Resilience.

When Life Feels Like Too Much: A Coach’s Perspective on Burnout & Resilience.

A practice tour from It's Complicated (https://complicated.life).

Burnout isn’t a phase. It’s not something you can “relax” away, and it’s definitely not “all in your head.” Yet, how often do we hear those exact words when we’re drowning in exhaustion, brain fog, or the creeping sense that we can’t keep going like this?

Here’s the truth: Burnout is your body’s way of saying 'Enough'. It’s not a failure. Rather, it is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and rebuild.

In my work as a coach, I help people navigate the complexity of burnout. It’s never just about being tired. It’s about feeling disconnected from what matters, from your energy, and from yourself. There are no quick fixes, no one-size-fits-all solutions. But there is a way forward.

The unhelpful advice we’ve all heard:

“Just take a vacation.” (As if two weeks could undo months of depletion.)

“You need to relax.” (Sure, but how?)

“It’s not that bad.” (Then why does it feel impossible to get out of bed?)

If you’re thinking, “I can’t keep going like this,” know that you can feel good again and that burnout isn’t the end of your story. It is a turning point, a chance to ask deeper questions, set new boundaries, and rediscover what truly sustains you.

I’ve walked this path myself, and I’ve seen clients move from exhaustion to clarity, from overwhelm to resilience, from hopelessness to stability.

Are you suffering from chronic stress and overwhelm? Perhaps I can help. For a glimpse into my approach, watch the enclosed tour of my practice.
